QUIZ
Welcoming a young person from another country is an experience that will benefit your whole family for years to come! It is a unique opportunity to discover more about the world, to be exposed to another language and culture, and to share in the joy of our mutual Faith. Becoming a host family allows you to practice the virtues of hospitality and friendship, while enabling your French teenage guest to experience life in an American Catholic family, ultimately impacting him or her in a profound way. By hosting a Catholic French young person through Inspired Gateways you will discover that the Catholic Faith is alive in France. French Catholic families are highly involved with their Church. The word “catholic” means “universal”, and your family will, in a tangible way, experience the universality of the Catholic Church, discovering how similar we are in our values and in our faith. The French youth are very curious about the United States. Your family will be the reflection of your country as seen through the lens of an inquisitive teen. The French youth will discover the simple things that you may often take for granted such as a baseball game, a community picnic or even window-shopping at the mall. You will teach American values and ideals by the way you live your life. You will be a valuable representative of the long legacy of friendship and Christian brotherhood that lies in the bond between France and the United States.
It provides students an opportunity to experience other cultures. What sets it apart is the integration of international Catholic church. All of the students from France who have attended our school have been devout in their Catholic faith, and have helped our students have a better understanding of the universal Church. All of our students who have visited France have been immersed in the Catholic faith of France and return having grown in their faith. I would highly recommend a partnership with the Inspired Gateways program to any Catholic high school looking to build on its international mindedness and Catholic identity."
